Heartbreak = Art

It's the fourth straight day of rain in Southern California and to be honest I don't mind it. It's calming and allowing me to take some much needed time to just Be. Coming from the gym I ran into this piece of art on a random corner in Hollywood. It spoke to me not because it's a beautiful depiction of Carrie Fisher over the years but because of the caption "Take your broken heart, make it into art". We often spend so much time wallowing in sorrow over a lost loved one, an argument with a best friend, or most commonly a failed relationship or break up. Instead of turning lemons to lemonade make art. Even if you've never made "art" before channel that energy into something tangible that is bound to be beautiful because you put your heart and soul into it.
